Carolyn McQuillan is a graphic designer from the greater Boston area, graduating this year with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. Throughout her college career at UMass Dartmouth, she has taken on several freelance projects, such as creating CD Artwork for a local jazz vocalist and designing a variety of post cards, logos, posters, and fliers. Her work can be seen close to home and abroad, such as in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, British Colombia, and the Dominican Republic. For the past four years, she has served as the Vice President and then President of UMass Dartmouth's student-led a cappella group, Mental Note, communicating internally and externally to manage the group and coordinate events; also serving as the group’s graphic designer, producing t-shirts, sweatshirts, event posters, programs, and other promotional material. Since the summer after her sophomore year, Carolyn has designed for Liberty Mutual Insurance as an intern with Risk Control Services, strengthening her skills in branding, template design, infographics, communication, and collaboration at the corporate level. Her experiences through freelancing, holding leadership positions, interning, and gaining her visual design education have prepared her for a full-time role after graduation as an Associate Graphic Design Specialist at Liberty’s corporate headquarters in Boston.
