Senior Design Exhibition Site
To accompany other assets promoting the 2015 CVPA Senior Design Exhibition at UMass Dartmouth, a four-person team designed and developed the following site. The design implemented the black and white palette and custom letterforms used for a silkscreened poster, postcard, and wayfinding system for the show.
We thought animating the letterforms via CSS3 animations would be an effective way to draw in the user. The letterforms feature inlaid patterns that were assigned to represent each visual design program. When rolling over a student’s headshot in the grid system we developed, the appropriate pattern is laid over the image and the artist’s name and program is displayed. The result of this effort was a fully-responsive design to display a rather large graduating class of visual designers.
