Melissa P. Mascaro has been drawing since she could hold a pencil, though she prefers to use ink, watercolor, and color pencil in her pieces. Drawing inspiration from nature, mythology, and folklore, she blends real life reference with imagination to render creative environments filled with fantastic creatures. She enjoys working with other materials such as charcoal, graphite, and acrylic paint, as well as sculptural material including clay, plaster, and mixed media.
