Mary Friar has lived her whole life in Somerset, Massachusetts, filling up sketchbooks inspired by life around her. She mostly works in ink and watercolor, but occasionally colors drawings digitally. Currently, Friar's focus is her fictional town called "Dieselwood" and the people that live there. Friar has draw on her own upbringing as inspiration, molding the environments of her childhood into one town, and the people she's met into characters on a page. After graduation she plans on creating a sequential art series based in this world.
