Courtney Hyman was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Quincy, Massachusetts at the age of three. From that age onward, she had developed a love for children's book illustrations and vowed to pursue a career path that explored both illustrations for adolescences and character-based design. Her work mainly focuses the aesthetic of a character in a themed environment either alone or paired with one or more other characters. The bulk of her work is done using digital media such as Photoshop, however she also works in watercolor, gouache and copic marker. She also has a background in graphic design as well. Courtney will be graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Illustration.
